About Melinda

The individual and group counseling I provide is a blend of cognitive-behavioral and humanistic existential, depending on the needs of the client. I also work with many clients to incorporate aspects of mindfulness into their lives, allowing for greater acceptance and enjoyment of your daily life.

I received my Masters in Counseling in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have experience working in private practice, psychiatric hospitals, and within the school system, but I have found I especially enjoy the unique partnership that private practice provides.

Although I work with clients on a wide range of issues, some areas of expertise include:

  • Adult and Adolescent ADHD (for more on my work with ADHD click here)
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Personal Growth
